Unfortunately, I read other reviews the night before my appointment and should have listened to them. Which is why I’m sharing mine as well. I’m new to the area, needed a new dentist and time for my cleaning. I made an appointment for a cleaning. Come to find out, my appointment was a “new patient appointment” where they took a lot of X-rays, had the dentist look at my teeth, then dismiss me to the manager to schedule my actual cleaning. Not the managers fault (everyone there was very nice) but no one told me I would not be getting a cleaning when that’s what I scheduled.
On top of that, their soonest appointment to get that basic cleaning was FIVE months away. I did not schedule that appointment and will be looking elsewhere.
I went to Aspen Dental in Olean for the first time last year. The online appointment request was super easy, and they got me in very quickly. Everyone at the office was very nice, professional, knowledgeable, and I felt at ease. They were able to schedule me for a cleaning very quickly. Did a full set of x-rays, came up with a treatment plan, and scheduled an appointment to get a broken tooth extracted. I was very happy about the tooth extraction. It was a tooth I'd had a root canal done over 10 years before, and it had broken off at the gum line. My previous dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. The dentist at Aspen was able to extract it in the office in less than half an hour with no surgery, no pain, and no complications afterwards. I had my cleaning, and the hygienist herself scheduled me for my next cleaning six months out. That's where things went south.
I showed up for my cleaning this past February, and was told I didn't have an appointment. Well, I knew I did because I put it in my phone at my previous cleaning appointment. They insisted I didn't have an appointment and I would have to reschedule. Two days later I was diagnosed with cancer. So I had a lot on my plate and my dental health was the least of my worries.
Now, 8 months later, I'm finally mostly on the other side of that mess, so I went online to schedule another appointment to get my dental health back on track. I showed up for my appointment only to be told I didn't have an appointment. Again.
I'm done. I don't know what the problem is with their scheduling software, but it's not acceptable. I have a job, a life, and I don't have time to mess around with their horrible system that randomly loses appointments. It's too bad, because the people there are nice. But I just can't waste time on them any more.
The employees were very nice. I, at this time could not afford to have the work needed done. But I want to mention Josh the office manager, he is a great guy and very helpful and understanding.
Not happy one bit. Broken tooth, lots of pain. Made appointment they were very aware of the situation two weeks in advance. Did xrays, dentist says no infection but to be safe we will give you an antibodic until we can get you in for root canal next month. Way to make someone spend more money and keep them in severe pain.
Very bad place do NOT go to the olean office. You’re better off going to one of their other head quarters. They left a temporary crown in my mouth for over 3 months and every time I call I get forwarded to a voicemail. I just want my permanent crown that was paid for. I still haven’t gotten it. Plus the temporary fell out and they won’t do nothing about it, and it’s been over 2 weeks since that happened. They said the permanent crown would be done in 2 weeks, but it’s been over 3 months since that appointment. Save your peace of mind and stay clear of the olean office.
needed to have a bridge re-cemented. It fell off 2 weeks earlier and my dentist glued it on because we were headed out of town. That “repair” lasted 2 weeks. So now I am 1000 miles from home and other dentists in the area won’t even see me. Aspen got me in that day but the dentist refused to re-glue the bridge so it was $161 for no result. However the staff and dental hygienist were great, friendly, helpful. I’ll just wait to get home and have my dentist deal with it.
A called in the morning and they got me in 20 minutes later. Staff were Super kind. The doctors office was very clean. Was very pleased for my first time ever being there.
Paid in advance to have two wisdom teeth pulled by Dr.Tin. We decided after first one that we would only do one. Here it is 6 months later and have yet to receive my refund. Every time I call to see what’s going on it’s nothing but the runaround. Better yet they even made me come back in to make sure I wasn’t lying about having one pulled and not the other.
